If you want to become better at puzzles like this, don’t rely on randomly scanning the picture.
Use a system.
Step 1: Start at the top
Scan from left to right.
Count every visible face.
Step 2: Move downward
Look at the next section of the picture and repeat the process.
Step 3: Check behind objects
Don’t assume that a partially visible face belongs to a cat you’ve already counted.
Step 4: Look for tiny objects
Small faces are often deliberately placed where people aren’t expecting
