Your brain naturally focuses on the biggest and most obvious objects first. When you see a large cat’s face, your attention tends to stop there.
You think:
“There’s one.”
Then you find another.
“Two.”
Another.
“Three.”
And before you know it, you’ve counted nine and decided that must be the answer.
But don’t stop yet.
The smaller cats are where the real mystery begins.
Why Is This Picture So Difficult?
The puzzle isn’t necessarily difficult because the cats are completely invisible.
They’re right there.
The problem is that they’re overlapping.
